What is there to say about Adam Greenberg that hasn't already been said on countless bathroom walls? Probably nothing but let's take a shot.
While most kids dream about what they will be when they grow up, Adam dreamt about what he'd be when he grew down. You see, Adam was born a 12'4" baby boy in Stamford, CT. He now lives in NYC, and has since shrunk to his current height of 6'2". Adam will continue shrinking until he reaches baby size. I know it's weird, but so is life.
His band "Senator" was birthed from Adam's larger-than-life beginnings, playing integral parts in some of New England's best pop and rock bands. Adam now brings Senator to New York. "The Undisputed Capital of Awesomeness."
Along the way many musical influences have shaped Greenberg's life. The Beatles, The Zombies, The Beach Boys, Elliott Smith and XTC, just to name a few. Unlike most performers who've had similar inspirations, Greenberg separates himself with a brilliant voice that could hang out with Colin Blunstone and Carl Wilson and not be out of its league.
His singing has drawn comparisons to Jeff Buckley, Elliott Smith, Mark Mulcahy, Thom Yorke and Harry Nilsson. His song writing is on par with with Brian Wilson, Rufus Wainwright and Todd Rundgren.
Adam can also croon a Roy Orbison heartbreaker with a voice that has a way of making you forget that it's not originally his song. He'll even make you forget why you're wearing that duckbilled platypus costume, and standing in a bathtub filled with breakfast cereal. You really should stop drinking so much.
